Red Delicious: A Delicious iPhone App Goes On Sale

If you are one of those still using ☞ Delicious and also an iPhone user, you might be interested to hear that Red Delicious is now available for $0.99 (original price $2.99)

The feature set seems quite complete and the app also has some nice functions like integration with Instapaper (an app for offline reading), optimized internet activity and offline access.

I am one of those 1 mil active Delicious users and I am using Yummy for accessing/editing/updating my Delicious bookmarks and Read It Later for offline reading.

I am pretty happy with my setup, but I’d really appreciate some additional functionality:

  • support in Read It Later for Yummy. Read It Later already supports a ton of services, but somehow missed the integration with Yummy. However, the app developer promised that this functionality will be available in the upcoming version (but there’s no date about it)
  • the possibility to tell Read It Later to automatically make available for offline reading the Delicious bookmarks tagged with a specific tag. I have heard of other apps providing this functionality, but I would like to stick with the current ones.

In case you are using a different set of applications, I’d really appreciate if you could share it with the other readers of the iPhone apps for geeks series.

Disclaimer: I haven’t tested Red Delicious so I don’t know anything about its quality. If the app developers would like me to take it for a test, they can send a code to iphoneapps at mypopescu.com
